About the Picture Italia Project

This is a book, editorial and fine art exhibition project which is set in the Italian wine producing region of Piedmont (English) or Piemonte (Italian). Colorado based photographer, Diane Huntress, was encouraged to begin this project in 1994, by a wine and travel writer. The region has experienced multiple great wine vintages since this project began. Thousands of images, primarily on film, have been created. Until the publication of the book, select photographs have been used to illlustrate magazine articles from Decanter to the Wine Spectator. A collection of images are available as archival, fine art prints.
